OHSU Will Build New Dental School Thanks To Millions Of Dollars In Donations

PORTLAND, Ore. — Thanks to poignant munificent investments from Oregon’s dental community, a Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry will build a new home during a OHSU Schnitzer Campus.

Eugene and Bonnie Skourtes have affianced $10 million, ODS has committed $5 million and A-dec, Inc. has affianced to yield state-of-the-art dental apparatus valued during $4.35 million.

Our universities teach Iowa’s doctors, lawyers, teachers, veterinarians, engineers, dentists and entrepreneurs. Their common mercantile impact is unparalleled, reaching $8 billion annually.

While Iowans’ support for their universities stays strong, a same can't be pronounced for a state’s investment in open aloft education. As recently as 1981, entirely 77 cents of each dollar for educating students during a universities came from Iowans by state appropriations.
